Overriding both Automatic Spacing and Automatic Capitalization

In some cases you may want to override both automatic spacing and automatic capitalization. For example:

This is explained by the combined effect of Automatic Spacing - adding two spaces after a period - and that of Automatic Capitalization - capitalizing the A. The examples below show how to temporary disable automatic spacing and capitalization.

An even better solution to handle acronyms as b.i.d. is to define a glossary Phrase Entry that expands to b.i.d., as follows:
