As for other backtick-tilde key, that's great to know you don't know the backtick. After looking at a pic of the Kinesis Advantage keyboard, it appears that it's right under your little finger, so MUCH easier to access than the F8 key, which is a further reach as well as tiny.
What spawned that little distraction was a comment you made in a previous post with Emmanuel when you were trying to avoid having to use the Resume key for some of your add-to-glossary functions that involved the picklist.
Over the years, I have often repurposed/remapped various keys on my keyboard (some temporarily and some permanently) when the original/default purpose of the key was something I never or hardly used and I needed some other key press or key combo to be more convenient. The backtick/tilde key is always a prime candidate for me because it's so rare that I need to use it.
So my suggestion is to consider remapping it to be F8. You can still use your actual F8 key for Resume when it makes sense to do so. But you would also have the convenience of a closer, easier-to-reach key to mimic that behavior when you need it. Plus, it will still be easy to use the tilde key when you need it.
There are numerous ways to remap it. Some keyboards are programmable, and I don't know if the Advantage keyboard is. If it is, you may want to explore that. But if not, you can use AutoHotkey to do it.
I have added some instructions for how to do that in the Google Drive folder I made for you, as well as the actual script you need to run. Let me know if you decide to try it out. I won't get my feelings hurt if you don't like it or find that the key is not as convenient as it appears. But I figured it was worth a shot. :)
