Instant text versus smartype

Have been researching for now word expander. Came across Instant Text and Smartype to use for Word 2000/Window 2000 and XP. Learning towards IT, but SM has med dictionary. What are the advantages of IT over ST? Request reply ASAP - in desperate need to increase production. BTW, had used PRD+, Shortcut and Shorthand before. Like PRD+ the most of the three.
