Client Layout

Instant Text in Client Layout can interact with any Client Application.

While working inside a given Client Application, Linking determines whether Instant Text listens and interprets keystrokes or just ignores them: you can toggle the Linking on or suspend it, using the Ctrl+/L shortcut. The Linking Indicator on the Title Bar indicates the state of the Linking in the current context.

Docking Instant Text to the side of the Client Application window you are working with, enables a seamless integration of Instant Text with your Client Application: you can toggle the Docking on or off, by using the Ctrl+/D shortcut. The Docking Indicator on the Title Bar indicates the state of the Docking in the current context.

In the following picture Instant Text in Client Layout is linked to WordPad and the Instant Text window is docked to the bottom of the WordPad window:

Note: It is possible to tailor the interaction between Instant Text and a Client Application specifically by using the Client Configurator: you start it by clicking the Client Configurator Button or by using the Ctrl+/. keyboard shortcut.
