Instant Text Mobile – Applicability – Palm OS5

Instant Text Mobile is an adaptation of the PC version of Instant Text for handheld devices. This version of Instant Text Mobile works with devices that use the Palm OS5 operating system.

 

Instant Text Mobile Software Setup - Windows

To Install Instant Text Mobile run the installer program ITMobileSetup.exe.

The installation creates a Instant Text Mobile folder on your desktop computer, with documentation files as well as copies of the files to be installed on your Palm handheld device. The installer will let you select files to be installed the next time you perform a Hotsync operation.

Français.pdb	— optional
other pdb files...	— optional

 

Activate Instant Text Mobile

After performing a HotSync operation, start Instant Text Mobile and select the glossaries you want to use. Then set the activation state to Active and you can now start using Instant Text Mobile.

 

Instant Text Mobile Software Setup - Mac or Linux

To Install Instant Text Mobile, unzip the zip archive ITMobileSetup.zip. This creates a Instant Text Mobile folder on your desktop computer, with documentation files as well as copies of the files to be installed on your Palm handheld.

Then use the Palm Install tool or Quick Install to install the needed files as in the case of the Windows installation. Finally, after performing a HotSync operation, start Instant Text Mobile and select the glossaries you want to use. Then set the activation state to Active and you can now start using Instant Text Mobile.

 

Notes on Upgrading

If you are installing this version over a previous version of Instant Text Mobile, you need first to deactivate the prior version. Note that upgrading does not affect registration information and other option settings.

 

Un-Installing Instant Text Mobile

To uninstall Instant Text Mobile, perform the following two steps:

• Deactivate Instant Text Mobile:
  Got to the Main screen and set the activation state to Not Active.

• Delete Instant Text Mobile
  This is done in the same way as you delete any other Palm application: To open the Delete dialog, tap the Application icon, then tap the Menu icon and select Delete on the menu.

To remove Instant Text Mobile completely, you also need to delete the glossary pdb files you have installed.
