<data short="1012h-hyphen" long="10-12 hours" display="10-12 hours (hyphen)" />
<data short="1012h-endash-char" long="10–12 hours" display="10-12 hours (en dash character)" />
<data short="1012h-endash-hotkey" long="10{Ctrl -}hours" display="10-12 hours (Ctrl - hotkey)" />

I'm curious what happens if you try this.
1. Create a new temp glossary.
2. Close out of IT.
3. Open the new glossary in Notepad.
4. Copy this text between the Entries tags:
<data short="1012h-hyphen" long="10-12 hours" display="10-12 hours (hyphen)" />
<data short="1012h-endash-char" long="10–12 hours" display="10-12 hours (en dash character)" />
<data short="1012h-endash-hotkey" long="10{Ctrl -}hours" display="10-12 hours (Ctrl - hotkey)" />
5. Save and close the glossary.
6. Open IT and open the new glossary.
7. Optionally change your font to Calibri Light 20pt, which makes it super easy to see the visual difference between a hyphen and an en dash.
8. Expand each entry.
Did you encounter any weird behavior/gobbledygook?
