I have Microsoft Office 2003 (Word 2003) and Windows XP. When I open a new document through a template it is extremely slow. When I open a new document not using a template this does not happen. I have tried several things and cannot seem to solve the problem. These templates were created by my company (not on my computer). Could it be a file path problem?
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Word, renaming Normal.dot, checking the box so Norton does not scan each document, uninstalling printer drivers, disk cleanup and defrag, checking start up programs, plenty of memory.
Any help would be much apprecitated. This is not a problem caused by IT. I was having the problem before installing IT.
