The advisories, as the central visual element of Instant Text, offer a high degree of customization.
Some of the Advisory Customizations using the Options Dialogs described in this page can also be done in the Client Configurator. It is essential to understand that their scope is not the same:

You can use the Screen Elements Options Dialog to indicate if you want the Phrase Advisory and the Word Advisory to be visible or not.
The easiest way to change the number of lines is to use the Lines Menu. Note that in this case the scope of the line number change is only for the current Client Application: in other words, Instant Text remembers the number of lines set for the current Client Application and applies it automatically whenever you work with that application.
It is possible to change the default number of advisory lines in the Advisory Options Dialog.
Having more advisory lines is not always better. You should select a number of lines for which you can instantly recognize the word or phrase you are looking for. This number varies with different persons and also with the screen size as well as with your experience of using Instant Text.
Start with 6 to 8 lines initially and increase it if you find out that you are comfortable with more lines. If you find that 6 lines gives you too much flicker, decrease it to 3 lines or even 1line.
You can use the mouse to change the width of advisories. Resizing the width of the Phrase Advisory will change the width of the Word Advisory and vice-versa.
The Advisory Details Options Dialog lets you specify whether line numbers should be displayed in advisories. For the Word Advisory the Short column is optional, you can choose if you want to display it or not. You can also resize the Short columns for both the Phrase Advisory and the Word Advisory.
You can specify the font that the advisories should use in the Advisory Fonts Options Dialog.
You can choose the colors of the advisories in the Advisory Colors Options Dialog. You may even specify different colors for odd and even rows.
In the Screen Layout Options Dialog you can decide to stack your advisories horizontally or vertically and choose the left to right or top down order of your advisories.
